I took some pictures of Danish tractors for the little Nephews. (Hi, Judah!) Then, when I got back, I looked them up to see if there were any interesting things to know about Danish tractors. (Hej, Jacob!) (That's Danish for hello!) I actually didn't find that much about Danish tractors; they have less nationalist pride about this than the Czechs do. (Grüße, Gershom!) (That's Swiss German for hello!) They do, however, have a really big tractor-related program. (Hallo, Isaiah!) (That's Dutch for hello!) They do tractor races. It is called Danish Tractor Pulling. (Dobrý den, Otis!) (That's Czech for hello!)
This is what Danish Tractor Pulling is like. I have no idea why the announcer is speaking French. This does not seem like a very French kind of sport to me.
If you go to this video, you can watch a video with English commentary so you can find out about all of the kinds of stuff that goes on in Tractor Pulling.
And, if you go to this link, you can see what happens when things go wrong. For the record, this is not really the way you are supposed to drive tractors. I bet that if you drove a tractor this way, you would get into even more trouble than if you just drove the tractor into a tree and then made funny jokes about it. (That is a story you should ask Uncle Samuel about. It's a good one.)
