National Pride

For some reason, the city of Rotterdam seems to use large tractors, instead of large trucks, for transporting equipment and building materials around town to their many projects.  I had been meaning to write a post about their lack of national pride.  In the two months I have been here, I have only seen John Deere tractors.  It seemed wrong, somehow.  I kept putting off making the post until I remembered to take a picture of one of the large tractors, which I could use to spruce up the story.  This weekend, however, my post got wrecked.  Just as I was about to cross over the Erasmusbrug, what should appear but . . . a New Holland tractor (pulling a John Deere wagon).  Now, that's more like it.
